Craziness

Our house has been on the market for about 3 months now, and lately things have really been picking up. This past Saturday, a guy came to look at it and gave us a verbal offer on the spot. The offer was really low, so we countered and he said he wanted to come back on Sunday to look at the house again before deciding (this was along with two other showings we had this past weekend). After staying at the house for 2 hours with half his family there, he submitted a written offer. We countered that offer, to which he countered again, then we accepted with the stipulation that we wouldn't be responsible for making any repairs if anything came up on the inspection (this only amounts to about $250 at the most, but we felt like we came down so low that we really didn't want to lose any more money on the deal). Well, I guess he got cold feet because he told his agent he had to think about it then he wouldn't answer any of her calls today. He had until 5:00 tonight to decide and we haven't heard anything, so I guess he had second thoughts. So frustrating!! To make it even more disappointing, we found a house that we really want to make an offer on but we can't do anything until we have something on our house. The one ray of hope that we have is that a couple who looked at it on Sunday evening came back again today. They know that we're in negotiations (or were!), so hopefully if they are serious they will put in an offer. We're praying that is the case! All of this is wearing me out!
