A move, a birthday, a sleepover and yet another ER visit

Wow, has it been a crazy month. We moved into our new house on the 13th of February, a day ahead of schedule. Thanks to some good friends who showed up on Friday to "get started" unloading the truck, we were pretty much completely moved in that day. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I was completely bed ridden that day from a horrible stomach virus so all the work was done without me to direct it. Ha ha. I'm sure Matt was saying a prayer of thanksgiving for that little blessing. :-) Anyway, here are a few pics. of the new digs....there is a LOT of work to be done in the decorating department, and if you are reading this and you just happen to LOVE painting, give me a call....I could use you!

We celebrated Sophie's 2nd birthday on the 20th with a small party at home. She was really into the birthday thing, and has sung happy birthday to me pretty much daily since her party. It's so hard to believe she's already two. It really has flown by. Right now, Sophie....
1. loves to dance. whenever there's music on in the van or anywhere else, she's bobbing her head to it
2. loooooves popsicles (or as she says, "pawsicles"). it's the first thing she asks for every single morning as soon as she opens her eyes
3. Is a natural entertainer. she will do anything for a laugh and has a great sense of humor
4. never stops talking, even when she sleeps
5. Is completely obsessed with candy
6. Still calls juice "goose"
7. Loves to talk on the phone, either for real or pretend
8. Twirls her hair...and my hair, her doll's hair, and any other hair she can get her hands on
9. Often calls me "mommy-o" and Matt "daddy-o"
10. Is the sweetest little two year old there ever was. We love you so much, Sophie!!!!

The night after her birthday party, Sophie's cousins came for their very first (all three of them at once) sleepover. Sophie adores her cousins and loved having them for the weekend. She was missing them after living with them for a week while we waited to close on our house!

And last but certainly not least, we ended the month with a bang. A literal bang. Sophie took a header into the hardwood floor last Friday and suffered a mild concussion. Thank goodness it wasn't worse. She really had us scared. Not only did she start vomiting right after her fall, but she was struggling to stay conscious. That made our third trip to the ER in her first two years. I sure hope this is not going to be the trend. They are going to know us by name at UMC before too long! She is back to her normal self now though. She's nothing if not tough!

yay for popsicles! They make everything better!!!

soooo thankful that she's better! I'm going to have to remember that popsicle with a cup trick at the bottom. Never thought of that!

A few things about this blog:

1. Happy Birthday to Sophie from Cade

2. Cade calls Heath Daddy-o..maybe they came up with this together

3. The pic with Matt and all the kids in bed literally made me laugh out loud!

4. So glad Sophie is okay. It is amazing how a popsicle (or any treat really) makes things seem better!

I love your new house!
