Easter Fever
The Easter bunny brought a bit more than eggs and goodies to our home this year; poor little Sophie woke up on Saturday night with a fever. As a result, we had to stay home from church Easter Sunday. It was a huge disappointment, but necessary because she was pretty pitiful all day on Sunday. A trip to the doctor on Monday got her a diagnosis of "hand foot and mouth", which is a strange virus that causes a rash that turns into tiny blisters all over the palms of the hands, soles of the feet and in the mouth and throat. Poor Sophie had them everywhere but after the fever broke, she was her usual self. She didn't seem phased by any of it. She's pretty tough (she gets that from her momma). :-) Anyway, we still had Brent, Lisa and the kids over for Easter lunch and she had fun playing with her cousins despite a low fever. I guess we'll just have to take some pictures of her in her Easter dress and bonnet at a later date!
