Summer Fun

It's been a busy summer so far! We've been spending lots of time doing the only thing you can do when it's 100 degrees outside.

and on the days we just need a break from swimming, we find other things to do....

Matt's grandma, or "great gram" as the kids call her, came for a visit the beginning of July.

Sophie got to take a road trip with her daddy to West Virginia to bring great gram home. They had a blast. Here's a picture of Sophie with her granddaddy Casto on his boat. :-)

We've made a few trips to Adventure Science Center in Murfreesboro. Sophie loves it and asks almost daily if we can go to "the science place"
a rare sight: a Casto behind the register instead of in front of it :-)

All the pool time this summer has really paid off for Soph. She's swimming now! Each day we go she gets even better. She is even diving down in the deep end now to retrieve dive sticks. So proud of my girl for teaching herself to swim! We will take some lessons next summer to get her to learn better form, but I'm glad she has full confidence in the water now (a little too much confidence if you ask me - you have to watch her like a hawk!)

We have a trip to Seattle coming up in a few weeks and we're all really excited! The kids are at such good ages for all the fun stuff we have planned while we're there. So stay tuned for more of our summer fun in the next few weeks!
